Insurance plans vary widely in their benefits for the diagnosis and treatment of TMJ. Dental insurance has started adding benefits for “TMJ”. Medical insurance also at times offers benefits for this treatment.
Medical Insurance and TMJ Therapy
It is best to contact your medical insurance company directly to find out what “services” they consider for benefits. Ask them if they cover non-surgical treatment of TMJ. Find out your deductibles and exclusions with regard to TMJ care.

Dental Insurance and TMJ
